The Greenest Smoothie Bowl Around


I’ve been drinking green smoothies for years and was delighted when I discovered that you can make creamy smoothies and eat them out of a bowl which in my opinion, makes them 100 times better because you can make it even more of a complete meal by adding amazing toppings. This smoothie bowl is absolutely delicious and takes just 10 minutes to make.

This Green bowl is Great for:

My favourite kind of smoothie bowl is always one that is full of greens. It just makes me feel so vibrant and full of energy when I include one into my day. I love that a green smoothie/smoothie bowl is one of the best post workout treats. This smoothie bowl is filled with goodness and will keep your body feeling fueled for a good amount of time. Its super quick to make and obviously tastes delicious and nutritious!

This bowl is packed full of amazing ingredients such as Avocado, Spinach, Spirulina, Banana, Dates and Superfoods such as Spirulina and Raw Cocoa Nibs.

Benefits of Avocado:

  • Avocado is unbelievably nutritious and loaded with Vitamin K, Folate Acid, Vitamin C, Potassium (more than bananas), Vitamin B1, B2, B5, B6 and Vitamin A.

  • Avocados also contain magnesium, copper, iron and zinc.

  • Avocados do not have any cholesterol or sodium and are low in saturated fats.

  • Avocados are loaded in monounsaturated fatty acids which are great for heart health.

  • Loaded with fiber which contributes to weight loss, reduces blood sugar spikes and is also strongly linked to a lower risk of many diseases.

  • Avocados can lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small avocado

  • 1 handful of spinach

  • ½ teaspoon of Spirulina

  • 1 banana (frozen works best)

  • 100-150ml of water

  • 1 to 2 pitted dates

  • 3-4 ice cubes

Toppings:

There’s so much you can add to top off this bowl of goodness, my favourites are:

Raw Cacao Nibs

Desiccated coconut

Munch mix (Raw sunflower seeds, Raisins, Peanuts and Almonds)

Hemp Seeds

Granola

Fruit

Directions:

  1. Add all your smoothie ingredients into the blender and blend until creamy. Add more water or use almond milk if you like it a bit more runny.

  2. Taste and see if the sweetness is to your liking, you may add some more dates if you like its sweet.

  3. Pour all that goodness into a bowl

  4. Add your favourite toppings and enjoy.
