Chic Pea Breakfast Flapjacks

Hello everyone and thanks so much for visiting Health Alignment. We are really excited to share with you this savoury breakfast recipe that is hearty and fulling. These Chic Pea Flapjacks are quick to make and are full of flavour. You can plate them any way you like and they are an easy throw together meal with no fancy ingredients or spices.

You are going to need:

  • A Mixing bowl

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • A non stick frying pan

  • Time: 15 minutes


  • 2 Cups of chic pea flour

  • 1/4 Red pepper

  • 2 Teaspoons of garlic chives

  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 Cup water

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 Teaspoon fresh garlic


  • 1 Tomato

  • 1/2 Onion

  • 2 Teaspoons of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar

  • 1/4 Teaspoon garlic

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 Avocado


  1. Mix together the chic pea flour and spices.

  2. Add the water.

  3. Add the chives and red pepper

  4. Heat your non stick pan and coat with a slight bit of coconut oil

  5. Pour just under 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan and cook for 1 minute on each side until golden brown.

  6. Chop your tomato and onion Now mix in spices with lemon juice or balsamic.

  7. Slice your avocado into thin slices.

  8. Place a tablespoon of the salsa onto each chic pea fritter and top with a few slices of avocado and enjoy.
