Cherry Scones

Hello and welcome to Health Alignment. I've been working on as many recipes as possible that go down perfect with the colder months of the year. I've been so excited to share this delightful scone recipe that is so simple and quick to make. These flavourful little scones are fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness. They are so delectable and go down perfect with a cup of tea or coffee. Lets get started!
You will need:
Baking tray
Oven
Mixing bowl
Measuring cups and spoons
25 Minutes
Makes 12 Scones
Ingredients:
2 Cups of self raising flour *
1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon of baking soda
100g Cherries (tined or fresh)
1 Tablespoon of sugar of your choice
Pinch of salt
1 Teaspoon of olive oil
1 Tin of coconut cream
*If you don't have self raising flour don't worry just add in 1/2 an extra teaspoon of the baking powder and baking soda to your regular flour.
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 180C°.
Sieve all the ingredients and mix well. Add the cherries and stir in well.
Add the coconut cream and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
Form your scones using a heaped tablespoon of the dough and place on a oiled baking tray.
Bake for 15-18 minutes. Enjoy with some delicious jams and dairy free cream with your favourite cup of tea or coffee.
