Lentil Burgers

These patties make for perfect quick meals whether you want a burger or something different to top off your salads or bowls.

You will need:

  • 20 minutes

  • Food processor

  • Measuring spoons

  • Serves: Makes 4 patties


  • 3/4 cup of ground down rolled oats or jungle oats

  • 1 tin of lentils well rinsed

  • 1 onion finely diced

  • 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast

  • salt and pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon of Italian herb

  • 1/2 teaspoon of crushed garlic


  1. Grind down your oats until they are as fine as flour.

  2. In a food processor or mixing bowl mix in the flour, onions and spices.

  3. Add in the lentils and pulse until everything is well combined.

  4. Form your patties by dividing the mixture into 4 equal parts.

  5. Fry the patties in some coconut oil or bake in the oven until golden.

  6. Serve on a bun or bun-less topped with your favourite toppings.
