Perfect crispy onions rings ready in no time.
You will need:
Measuring cups and spoons
Time: 15-20 minutes
Makes about 20-30 onion rings depending on your onion slices
2 Cups of all purpose flour( I used stone ground cake flour)
1 sachet of yeast
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
2 cups of warm water
2 onions sliced into rings
Oil for frying
In a mixing bowl mix together the flour, yeast, salt and sugar.
Add in the water and mix the until you have a smooth batter.
In a pan, heat up the oil on medium heat.
Dunk an onion ring in that batter and place the ring directly into the oil.
Repeat for the rest of the rings and cook until golden brown.
Drain the excess oil off using parchment paper.
Serve with your favourite burgers, wraps or enjoy as is.
