Bulgur wheat porridge

I love this new porridge. I've always used bulgur wheat in savory dishes so I thought I would give it a go as something sweet.

You will need:

  • Pot

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • 15 minutes

  • serves 2 or 1 big portion


  • 1/2 cup of raw bulgur wheat

  • 2/3 cup of soya milk or any other plant-based milk

  • 1/4 cup of water

  • Pinch of salt

  • Dash of cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract


  1. Add all of your ingredients into your pot and bring to boil.

  2. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the bulgur wheat is soft. Serve with all your favorite toppings.


  • Mixed berries

  • Coconut

  • Maple syrup
