Chocolate Rollies
Updated: Apr 14, 2022

These chocolate rollies were born from the idea of a biscuit and croissant mixed together. The pastry has a lovely texture that is the perfect mix.
Ingredients:
Dry
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup of sugar of your choice

Wet:
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup plant-based milk

Other:
2 slabs of dark chocolate (I used Aero dark)
1/5 cup of plant-based milk
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
In your mixing bowl, add in all your dry ingredients and mix.
Add in the wet ingredients and knead the mixture until a dough forms.
Roll out the dough until it is about 0.5 cm thick in a square shape and slice the dough into triangles.

5. Place a piece of dark chocolate at the bottom layer of the triangle and roll the pastry over similar to the shape of a croissant. Repeat until your pastry is finished.
6. Place on your baking tray and bake for about 20 minutes.
7. Melt your remaining dark chocolate by heating it up with a 1/5 of a cup of plant-based milk on the stove or microwave.
8. Drizzle the chocolate spread over the rollies and sprinkle with icing sugar(optional) and enjoy!
