Cocoa oats with toasted maple cashews. This was so satisfying I really enjoyed having this for breakfast thing morning. 🌱
This serves 2 and here’s what you need 🍃
1 cup of rolled oats
2 cups boiling water
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon raw cocoa powder
1/2 cup of plant-based milk
Topping: toasted cashews
50g of raw cashews
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon oil (coconut or olive oil)
Pinch of cinnamon
1. On a medium heat place your oats, pinch of salt, and water on the stove to cook for about 10 minutes.
2.While the oats are cooking make your toasted cashews.
3. Mix the cashews with the maple syrup, oil, and pinch of cinnamon and place on pan and slightly toast them at medium heat for about 3 minutes.
4. Once your oats are cooked, place them in your blender with the milk, cocoa powder, and vanilla and blend until smooth.
5. Pour the oats into your bowl and top with the toasted cashews, nut butter, coconut flakes, and coconut sugar and enjoy 🌿
