Tempeh Carbonara

Easy tempeh carbonara packed with flavor.

  • 250 Pasta of your choice ( I used spaghetti)

  • 1 tin of coconut cream (full fat)

  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes

  • 1 block of tempeh

  • Oil for frying

  • 3 tablespoons of vegan barbecue sauce


  1. Cook your pasta following the instructions on the packet.

  2. Slice up your tempeh and sprinkle your spices on. Rub the spices in slightly and heat up some oil in your frying pan.

  3. Add the tempeh to your frying pan and fry for 2 minutes a side until slightly golden.

  4. Add in your barbecue sauce and reduce the heat. Cook for another minute.

  5. Drain your pasta and add it back to your pot. Add in the coconut cream and spices and mix.

  6. Serve with the tempeh bacon and enjoy
