A vegan Treacle tart that is so quick and easy to make 🌱here’s what you need:
1 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup coconut oil melted
1/4 cup of plant-based milk
1 1/4 cup of maple syrup or maple-flavored syrup
1 1/2 cups of plant-based milk
4 tablespoons cornflour
4 tablespoons coconut oil
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 180 °c.
Mix together all the dry ingredients for your pie crust. Add in the wet ingredients and combine.
Spread the dough evenly throughout your pie/tart tin.
Pierce with a fork and place in the oven to bake for 10-15 minutes.
While your crusts bakes start with the filling.
Mix the cornflour with the milk.
In your pot place all the ingredients including the milk mixture.
Cook through until the mixture thickens.
Pour the filling into your cooked pie crust and allow to cool before serving🌱
