Vegan Mini doughnuts


Easy vegan mini doughnut balls with only 5 ingredients 🌿because sometimes you just need a treat that’s super quick and easy 🌿



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of self-raising flour

  • 1/3 cup of castor sugar

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/3 cup of melted vegan butter

  • 2/3 cup of plant-based milk or water

  • Cinnamon and castor sugar for coating


Directions:

  1. In your mixing bowl add in all of your dry ingredients.

  2. Melt your vegan butter.

  3. Add your wet ingredients to your mixing bowl and mix with a spoon until combined.

  4. Then use your hands to form a soft dough. If the dough is still too sticky just add a tablespoon more of flour until you have a dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.

  5. Measure about a tablespoon out of the dough and roll into balls.

  6. Heat up a small pot with oil of your choice (coconut oil also works)

  7. Once your oil is hot, place 4-5 of the doughnut balls in the pot at a time. Reduce your heat to medium so that the balls don’t cook too fast on the outside as it will take some time to ensure the center of the doughnut balls are cooked.

  8. Test it ready by removing one of the balls and piercing with a sharp knife. If the knife comes out clean they are ready.

  9. Place the balls on a kitchen towel to drain any extra oil. While the remaining balls are cooking mix your cinnamon and sugar.

  10. Roll your doughnut balls in the cinnamon and sugar and enjoy!
