Vegan Spaghetti Carbonara

One of the quickest, easiest lunch or dinner recipes.

Time:25 minutes



  • 1 large onion

  • 1 Tablespoon of crushed garlic

  • 1 & 1/2 heaped teaspoons of smoked paprika

  • A pinch of sugar

  • 3 Tablespoons of Nutritional yeast

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of tapioca flour

  • 2 tins of coconut milk or cream

  • 1 tablespoon of oil of your choice or sub for water

  • 300g of your favourite spaghetti of pasta


  1. Fry the onions and garlic in the oil or water until soft.

  2. Start cooking your spaghetti following the packets instructions.

  3. add the pinch of sugar and spices to the onion and garlic

  4. Add the coconut milk or cream and the tapioca flour.

  5. Cook the sauce for about 5-10 minutes until it thickens and becomes rich and creamy.

  6. Once your pasta and sauce are both ready mix the two together and top off with either rice paper bacon or potato bacon, both recipes are linked down below. Serve while hot with your favourite toasted ciabatta.
