Black Bean & Beetroot Burgers


Protein Packed Patties!

You will need:

Grater

Frying Pan

Mixing bowl

Serves 4

Time 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup of oats ground

  • 3 beetroots grated

  • 1 cup of cooked black beans

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Blend your oats until fine.

  2. Grate your 3 beetroots.

  3. Mix the spices in with your ground oats and add the grated beetroot.

  4. Add in the black beans to the beet and oat mix. Using your hands mix the mixture together, crushing the chic peas to soften the mixture and bind the patties.

  5. Form 4 burger patties. Heat up some oil in your frying pan and cook each side for about 3-5 minutes on medium to high heat.

  6. Serve on your favourite bun or bun-less topped with spicy mayo, caramelised onions and fresh avocado.
