Oat Cinnamon Rolls


The easiest Oat Cinnamon rolls ready in under 5 minutes!

You will need:

  • Mug

  • Measuring cups and spoons

  • Microwave

  • 5 minutes

  • Makes 3-4 cinnamon rolls

Ingredients for the dough

Dry ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cup oats ground down

  • 1 teaspoon yeast

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 2 Tablespoons of corn flour to flour the surface for rolling the dough out

Wet ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of milk

  • 1/2cup boiling water

  • A teaspoon vanilla essence

For coating the rolls

  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil

  • Cinnamon and sugar mix

  • 1/2 cup of plant-based milk( I used unsweetened soya milk)

For the icing:

  • 3 tablespoons of icing sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of plant-based milk

Directions:

  1. Ground down the oats until fine as flour.

  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients.

  3. Add in the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

  4. Flour the surface using the corn flour.

  5. Divide the dough into 2-4 portions. Roll out each portion into a rectangle.

  6. Baste the roll with coconut oil and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar mix.

  7. Roll the cinnamon rollup.

  8. Oil the bottom of your mug with a dash of coconut oil and place the roll inside.

  9. Pour over 1-2 tablespoons of plant-based milk.

  10. Place the mug in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.

  11. While the cinnamon roll is in the microwave mix together your icing mix and pour it onto the cinnamon roll when serving.
